Novel biomimetic nanocomposite for investigation of drug metabolism

•A novel method for immobilization of metalloporphyrin (MP) in a nanocomposite system was developed.•Advanced nanocomposite combines the advantageous properties of magnetic nanoparticles and nanofibers.•Nanofibers allowing effective mass transport and has positive effect on the orientation of the attached MP.•The catalytic activity of metalloporphyrin in the nanocomposite system is tenfold higher than classic human liver microsome.
