A Rule-Based Coordination Method of Conductive Contradictions for Product Function Innovation

To coordinate the conductive contradiction for product function innovation, a conduction rule-based coordination method is proposed. The multi-layer network of function-effect-structure basic-element model of design elements is established to make the conduction features clear on the intra- and inter-layer(s), and then, the rules of the conduction between these elements on intra-layer and among the inter layers are established. Finally, the coordination strategy for conductive contradictions is proposed accordingly. In the end of the paper, a cutting table is taken as a case to verify the practicability and effectiveness of the method.
