Comparison of microRNA Levels between the follicular fluids of women with diminished ovarian reserve and normoresponder women

Background and Aim: MicroRNAs are expressed in all tissues and known to regulate broad spectrum processes such as cellular differentiation and apoptosis. Although there is a trend towards the study of diagnostic miRNAs in reproductive biology, knowledge about their functions is still limited. Since extracellular miRNAs have been detected in various biofluids including follicular fluid, these RNAs can be used as informative biomarkers of the ovulation process. Is it possible to use the expression of miRNAs in the follicular fluid as a diagnostic marker in patients with diminished ovarian reserve (DOR)?
