摘要

•Hyperspectral imaging was applied to detect and visualize egg freshness.•A binary competitive adaptive reweighted sampling (BCARS) algorithm was proposed for feature wavelength selection.•A slime mould algorithm optimized support vector regression (SMA-SVR) model was proposed.•Optimal prediction model was obtained based on BCARS-SMA-SVR.
