Effect of NaHCO_3 Stress on Structure of Leaves in Two Kinds of Atriplex

The leaf anatomical structure of Atriplex nummularia and Atriplex canescens were investigated by analyzing tectum of epidermis thickness,thickness of the epidermis and the number of crystals under different concentrations of NaHCO3 stress.The results showed that the increased epidermis covering thickness,thickness of the epidermis and the number of crystals in both Atriplex leaves was observed under 150 mmol/L NaHCO3 stress,with the NaHCO3 concentration increasing(300~450 mmol/L),epidermis covering thickness,thickness of the epidermis and the number of crystals decreased compared to CK,respectively.Both Atriplex nummularia and Atriplex canescens were able to adapt to alakali stress through its structure change.
