摘要
•A smart, pH-sensitive,FA fabricated and PAA coated mSiO2 nanocarrier has been formulated.•Anticancer efficacy of chrysin has been upgraded through its folate receptor oriented delivery.•Probable detailed anticancer mechanism of Chr-mSiO2@PAA/FA has been studied in vitro.•In vivo pro-apoptotic nature of Chr-mSiO2@PAA/FA has been solicited.•Chr-mSiO2@PAA/FA has found to be highly biocompatible with no significant systemic toxicity.
