Fatigue Life Evaluation of Rubber Tyred Gantry Crane based on Minner Criterion.

An old rubber tyred gantry crane in a wharf needs safety assessment because of its long service life and high service frequency. In this paper, through the finite element simulation of the crane metal structure, combined with the field stress test, the inspectors compare,analyze and comprehensively evaluate the safety of the crane metal structure. Finally, according to the field dynamic test data, the residual fatigue life of the rubber tyred gantry crane is estimated by using the linear fatigue cumulative damage theory of Minner criterion.
