What are the most important digital qualifications of the employees in the clothing and fashion companies?

The current study examines the digital skills that are required in the modern business environment of the clothing industry in Greece. Specifically, it tries to provide a mapping of the different gaps that exist in assessing and measuring the level and type of digital skills required by business employees, and to identify the relevant actions taken by managers to address these gaps. In doing so, we have collected data from 112 Greek fashion and clothing enterprises. The study results lead to the enhancement of the digital skills' availability through the education and training system. Programs at all levels and areas of education need to be updated and digital skills must be part of the core competencies required at each level by promoting access to education for all employees. Our findings, can help both employers and employees to prepare for the new digital era. Finally, a thorough discussion and conclusions are given to different practitioners.
