摘要

•A new phenomenon of power oscillations in ESFR ULOF transients is found by numerical investigations.•The oscillations are induced by sodium boiling.•The reasons for it are negative effective void worth and time delay of heat transfer from fuel to coolant.•Higher initial cover gas pressure could prevent the sodium boiling, therefore the oscillations.
