Requirements Determination and Variant Configuration of Multivariable Drive Concepts

The integration of alternative drives in rail vehicles for rail freight transport represents a challenge for new vehicles and retrofitting. The determination of requirements and the creation of variants play a special role in the development process of electric and hybrid rail vehicle drives, which differs considerably from the design of conventional rail drives. In this paper, a contribution to the determination of the operation profile and the creation of variants is presented.
