摘要
Pulmonary nodules are a frequent finding on chest CT. Many are Perifissural Pulmonary Nodules (PFN), which are shown to be benign on follow-up in lung cancer screening and routine care subjects and represent intrapulmonary lymph nodes. Since a growing number of patients that undergo CT have an oncology history, it is increasingly important to have knowledge on whether metastases can mimic PFN and whether these lesions should be treated with more suspicion in oncology patients. We present eight oncology patients harbouring PFN to illustrate the current diagnostic uncertainty of this finding and highlight the need for further prospective data collection.
