Cyclophosphamide for the treatment of central neurosarcoidosis: retrospective study in 32 patients.

•There are no recommendations on treatment of neurosarcoidosis (NS).•Cyclophosphamide (CYC) has never been evaluated in a large series of patients with NS.•CYC have clinical, laboratory and radiological effectiveness in NS and is a steroid-sparing drug.•CYC resulted in partial or complete improvement in 78% of patients.•CYC is easily accessible, inexpensive, and well tolerated in the short term.
