摘要

•Adults with depression demonstrated poorer cognition and reported greater cognitive difficulties than non-depressed adults.•The association of depression with measures of cognition was greater in middle-age and older adults compared to younger adults.•Our results suggest that the strength of association between depression and cognition appears to plateau in middle-age.
