摘要
•Arsenic-mediated Nrf2 down-regulation and M1 macrophage activation instigates inflammatory signaling cascades.•Arsenic-induced disruption of NF-κB/STAT-3 interaction confers differential cytokine response.•NF-κB influences arsenic–mediated differentiation of CD4+ T cells into FoxP3+ Treg cells leading to immune-suppression.•Inflammation-associated autophagy activation supports the immune-suppressive activity of T regulatory cells.
