摘要
•Novel pyrimidine-sugar derivatives (β-anomer) were synthesized.•Acetylation had a positive effect on the pharmacological properties.•Acetylation significantly enhanced antiproliferative effect without harming normal cells.•Tetra-O-acetyl derivatives were found to have higher affinity for DNA.•Most of compounds were at least as sensitive as the positive control SCF antibiotic.
