Abstract
The perovskite LaCoO3 exhibits an electrochemical activation process during hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) measurement. In-situ generated oxygen vacancies (Vo) optimize the hydrogen adsorption and water dissociation and thereby promote a high activity for HER.
