Geochronological constraints of high-grade metasedimentary rocks of the Italva and Costeiro basins: Reconstructing the Outer Magmatic Arc System of the ribeira belt, SE Brazil

•New U-Pb data from metasedimentary rocks of the OMAS-basins, Ribeira belt, SE-Brazil.•The long-term E-verging subduction revealed two evolutionary arc-basin stages.•The Italva basin rocks display a single provenance source from the Tonian SP arc.•The Costeiro back-arc basin rocks yielded Archean to Neoproterozoic sources from SP-RN arcs and ancient blocks.•The closure of the Costeiro arc-basin culminated in the West Gondwana amalgamation.
