Abstract
Strain (S) and Strain Rate (SR) are known to be sensitive measures of regional myocardial function. Prior to evaluating their role in detection of acute rejection, it is important to establish baseline values in the absence of rejection. Purpose: To determine differences in regional myocardial velocities between normal children and pediatric heart transplant (HTx) recipients without acute rejection.
