A Time Synchronization Residual Error Compensation Algorithm for Spaceborne Distributed InSAR

Spaceborne distributed interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) is an important device to measure the global digital surface models. In the areas without ground control points, solving absolute phase ambiguity is an urgent problem in InSAR data processing. One solution is radargrammetry, which requires high-precision time synchronization. In order to improve the precision of time synchronization, a time synchronization residual error compensation algorithm based on two-way phase synchronization link is proposed in this paper. According to the timing sequence of phase synchronization, a mathematical model of time synchronization residual error compensation is established. The model considers the information acquired by satellites, such as phase synchronization signal, internal calibration signal and external calibration data. Then the accuracy of the algorithm is analyzed in detail, and the analysis result shows the availability of the algorithm.
