Abstract
Our study suggests that patients with autoimmune rheumatic diseases had a significantly increased risk of head and neck cancer compared with the general population, including thyroid, oral and nasopharyngeal cancers. These findings have implications for the individualized screening of these patients and the planning of specialist cancer services. The protocol is registered with PROSPERO, number CRD42020197827.
