Abstract
•Molecular mechanism of HCl and choline chloride-glycerol (ChCl-Gly) was studied.•Rotor-stator reactor (RSR) was employed to intensify HCl absorption into ChCl-Gly.•A mathematic model was developed to describe mass transfer process of HCl in RSR.•Application prospects of the RSR-based HCl absorption into ChCl-Gly were discussed.
