Abstract
•Tungsten co-deposits with He and D2 almost always contain less total gas than co-deposits with either He or D2.•Accumulation of He in trapping sites with high binding energies (Tdesorption > 1500 K) is strongly mitigated for co-deposits with both He and D2.
