To the Editor: Dermatologists are widely recognized for their expertise in treating skin cancer, with multiple studies confirming the majority of skin cancer destructions, excisions, and Mohs micrographic surgeries are performed by dermatologists. 1 Roenigk R.K. As reconstructive surgeries have historically been performed by several different physician specialties, the contribution of dermatologists to cutaneous reconstructions, such as linear repairs, flaps, and grafts, may be comparatively underrecognized.
