Improving the maintenance system remains an urgent task in the face of significant wear and tear of equipment and vehicles, and a lack of qualified personnel. Timely and high-quality repairs ensure the reliability of machinery and equipment, which is especially important for the transport and agricultural industries. Equipment downtime in these industries significantly affects the competitiveness of enterprises. The paper considers various types of products, ensuring the uninterrupted performance of their functions by products, which is especially important for transport and agricultural machinery. To identify the need for managerial impact on the MRO processes of the product, the maintenance (repair) cycle variation coefficient is proposed. The concept of managerial impact on the MRO process of a product is proposed, under which the following solutions are considered: Search for another MRO service provider (dealer), search for an MRO service provider (dealer) for the first time, increasing the competencies of employees of the enterprise (farms) in the field of MRO. The use of the proposed coefficient and the developed algorithm together with the well-known methods for assessing the competencies of the performers of the repair process.
