Abstract
High-voltage square-wave nanosecond pulse generator has a broad application prospect in the fields of atmosphericn low-temperature plasma, biomedicine and power equipment detection. Pulse forming line is an effective way to realize high-voltage square-wave nanosecond pulse output. However, the existing technology is difficult to coordinate the contradiction between the fixed physical size of pulse forming line and the adjustable pulse width. To solve this problem, in this paper, a new multi-switch inductor energy storage forming line topology is proposed, and the time-space transmission process of electromagnetic waves in the transmission line is regulated by double switches, so as to realize the modulation of output pulse width. Based on the wave process analysis and multi-switch sequential logic control theory, the pulse width modulation method is analyzed, and the simulation verifies that the new topology has the capability of pulse width adjustment. The experimental results show that the proposed new type pulse generator can realize square wave short pulse output with rising time of 6 ns, adjustable pulse width of 9-20ns, repetition frequency of 200kHz and voltage amplitude of 5 kV.
