Power Factor Analysis of IPMSM with Low Fractional Slots per Pole per Phase

摘要
This paper analyzes power factor (PF) characteristics of motors with low fractional slots per pole per phase with respect to d-q inductances and flux linkage. The negative effect of asynchronous operation caused by different number of poles between stator and rotor is analyzed, in terms of PF. Moreover, optimization for high PF is carried out to analyze improved configurations according to number of slots per pole per phase.
