Abstract
The effect of physical characteristics of DNA and RNA molecules on surface plasma resonance (SPR) in biosensors made according to the Kretschmann scheme is studied. It turned out that the conductivity, which depends on the length of the nucleotide chains in the sensor receptor, has a significant effect on the wavelength and angular position of the SPR. It was found for the first time that with increasing nucleotide chain length, the SPR wavelength and the resonant angle of incidence increase. The critical chain length, less than which the sensory effect is physically impossible, was found. The possibility of using different types of RNA was analyzed.
