Abstract
•Tunnel electricity transmission system are extracted automatically from mobile laser scanning (MLS) point cloud.•A 3D cluster-based algorithm called spherical-stepping-clustering (SSC) is proposed to track the linear objects.•Point-by-point extraction: average F-Score reached 94 %.•Provides a new paradigm for infrastructure management, intelligent transportation systems, and Digital Twin technology.
