Stretchable and Highly Conductive AgNPs/SBS Film with Wrinkled Ag Layer for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding

Herein, we present a stretchable and highly conductive silver nanoparticles/styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymers (AgNPs/SBS) composite film with wrinkled Ag conductive layers by pre-stretching and in-situ chemical reduction (ISCR) methods. The wrinkled Ag conductive layer is tightly embedded in the surface of the polymer and greatly enhances the stability of conductivity and electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) of the composite film while stretching. The winkled AgNPs/SBS composite film possesses a highly electrical conductivity of 1.5 × 10 4 S/m and a remarkable EMI SE of 88.3 dB at thickness of ~400 μm in the X-band. Even the winkled AgNPs/SBS composite film still achieves a high EMI SE of 51.5 dB at 100% tensile strain.
