Abstract
In this paper, orange peel fiber, metal-organic backbone and polyvinyl alcohol were blended by simple heating and cyclic freeze-thaw method to obtain fiber/MOF/PVA hydrogel. The effects of adding natural orange peel fiber and MOF on the mechanical and electrical conductivity of PVA hydrogels were investigated. The results showed that the rigidity of the composite hydrogel after adding natural orange peel fiber without cross-linking agent increased with the addition of natural orange peel fiber, and the internal pore structure of MOF-PVA composite hydrogel was more abundant with the increase of natural orange peel fiber, forming a honeycomb-like porous material. Therefore, the composite addition of natural orange peel fibers can effectively improve the mechanical properties and pore structure of PVA gels to achieve the enhancement effect.
