Research on the Device and Method for Improving the Accuracy of DC Resistance Measurement of Cable Conductor

The traditional cable conductor DC resistance measurement test has the problems of large contact resistance and inaccurate conductor length measurement, which lead to inaccurate measurement of the cable conductor DC resistance. In order to solve this problem, this paper designs a four-terminal fixture device for the DC resistance of wire and cable conductors, and a method for measuring the DC resistance of cable conductors by using the device. By using the device and the method, on the one hand, the length of the cable conductor curve is measured through the length photoelectric sensing module and the length measuring fixture, thereby improving the measurement accuracy of the cable conductor length. On the other hand, using the current end clamp to apply a suitable crimping force reduces the contact resistance of the cable conductors. Finally, through the experimental verification, these two aspects can significantly improve the measurement accuracy of the DC resistance of the cable conductor, which verifies the effectiveness of the device.
