Our artificial intelligence (AI) project Automatic Learning for the Rapid Classification of Events (ALeRCE) increasingly suffered from tech stack sprawl. We developed a fractal development methodology to mitigate tech stack sprawl. Our methodology would be applicable to AI engineering in general.
