摘要
A 46-year-old Chinese female attended our hospital with a 3-year history of buccal roughness and burning sensation from spicy foods. The patient denied her medical history of systemic diseases, long-term medication taking, transplantation, smoking or family history. On examination, she had bilateral, symmetrical, multifocal white striae or radiating lines on the buccal and lower vestibular mucosa (Figure 1); we found an irregular erosion/ulceration, measuring 15 mm in its largest diameter, surrounded by a soft erythematous lesion on the right lower vestibule near teeth #46-47 (Figure 1A). We did not detect any dental filling, cutaneous lesion, or enlarged cervical lymph node. The following laboratory investigations were within normal limits: complete blood count, blood glucose, liver and kidney function.
