A new species of the genus Mongolotettix Rehn, 1928 from Anhui, China (Acrididae, Acridoidea, Orthoptera)

A new species of the genus Mongolotettix Rehn, 1928 i.e. Mongolotettix jiuhuashanensis sp. nov. from Anhui, China is described in this paper. The new species is allied to M. tongbaishanensis Yin, Ji et Dai, 2017, but differs from latter by tegmina of male longer, reaching the hind margin of 8th abdominal tergite, maximum width of cubital area 1.8 times maxi-mum width of medial area, epiphallus with larger bump on both outer sides, prozona of female 1.3 times of metazona in length and length of upper ovipositor valve 4.4 times its maximum width. Type specimens are deposited in the Shanghai Entomological Museum, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai, 200032, China.
