Abstract
In order to reduce the consumed run time and enhance the calculation efficiency for analyzing the propagation properties of an underwater low-frequency electromagnetic wave, a novel approach of modelling the sea with a lossy Drude dispersive medium is proposed. The numerical results of three cases verify the accuracy and validity of the proposed approach.
