Biofertilizers are effective microbial technology to overcome ever-increasing global food demand against unfavorable environmental conditions through plant growth promotion and plant protection. The quality of biofertilizers is important criteria resulting in its acceptance by the farmer and an end-user. Certain traits such as purity of cultures (mother cultures), pH, staining, turbidity, total count, and viable count of inoculants must be checked for biofertilizer production and commercialization as a part of a standard procedure.
