Abstract
•A sustainable approach of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) green synthesis was achieved.•Traditional and statistical techniques were employed for biosynthesis optimization.•Characterization analyses have revealed the unique AgNPs properties.•Significant antitumor and antimicrobial activities were exerted by the AgNPs.•The treated PET/C fabrics with AgNPs showed a considerable antimicrobial activity.
