The micro-pathological characteristics in cerebral arteriovenous malformations(cAVMs)

•The vascular structure of all cerebral arteriovenous malformation was incomplete.•Different blood vessels shared the same vascular wall in cAVMs.•Macrophage phagocytosis and lymphocyte infiltration in the adventitial region of ruptured cAVMs.•Lipid deposition was observed in vascular endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells.
