摘要

•Novel reusable and environmental-friendly ion imprinted adsorbent was prepared.•Sodium tripolyphosphate acts as both ionic crosslinking and functional monomer.•Theoretical calculation and experiments gave proofs of selectivity for Sc(III).•The adsorbent has good magnetic separation performance and recyclability.
