Hyaluronan-Based Theranostic Nanomicelles for Breast Cancer-Targeting and Anticancer Drug Delivery

•An all-in-one hyaluronan-based theranostic nanomicelles for breast cancer imaging and therapy was successfully developed.•The hyaluronan-based nanomicelles presented adequate drug loading efficiency, desirable stability, and attractive hyaluronidase-sensitive release features.•The hyaluronan-based nanomicelles could actively target mammary adenocarcinoma in mice and be accumulated in the tumor rather than normal organs.•The hyaluronan-based nanomicelles exhibited higher tumor growth inhibition, longer median survival time, and better anti-tumor efficacy than other formulations.
