Simulation, Generation and Experiment Analysis of s-Band Microwave Beat Wave

In order to measure beat wave accurately, this paper studied the beat wave combination in the theory, simulation and experiment. In the experiment, a method for beat wave generation using arbitrary waveform generator is proposed. It can be concluded from theory and simulation that the beat wave amplitude is equal to the sum of the independent amplitudes but the experimental results are different from the theory and simulation. By comparing the measured results with or without carrier frequency, it can be concluded that the direct measurement of beat wave using high-speed oscilloscope would have 1%-10% errors.
