Sensorless Vector Control of SPMSM Using High Frequency Square Wave Voltage Injection

Permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is widely used in electrical drive field due to many an advantage. when the traditional rotating or pulsation high frequency voltage injection is employed, SPMSM sensorless vector control system at zero speed and low speed is unsatisfactory due to unqualified rotor position estimation accuracy. Based on the analysis of rotor saliency of SPMSM, a different sensorless vector control technology based on high frequency square voltage injection is proposed and proved by experimental results, featuring high accuracy of rotor position estimation and good dynamic performance.
