Impact of intraovarian injection of autologous platelet-rich plasma and mature oocyte retrieval in women with reduced ovarian reserve – a systemic review

The clinical treatment of patients with poor ovarian response (POR) or premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) is a major challenge in reproductive medicine. Recent studies on ovarian rejuvenation show that intraovarian injection of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) can restore fertility in women with POI or POR. PRP contains a variety of growth factors, which play an important role in tissue regeneration and healing, and consequently, in intraovarianapplication, promote the reactivation of folliculogenesis, leading to improved development of primary and pre-antral follicles.
