Highly Selective Welding of Ultralong Silver Nanowire Transparent Conductive Electrodes by Electroplating
SSRN Electronic Journal(2023)
Abstract
In this study, we weld ultralong silver nanowires (AgNWs) on AgNW transparent conductive electrodes (AgNW TCEs) to improve their electrical property. AgNW TCEs were fabricated by the doctor blade method and welded by electroplating. Highly selective welding was observed at most junctions between the AgNWs. The sheet resistance of the AgNW TCEs drastically decreased from ~ 210 Ω/ µ to ~ 11 Ω/ µ . The performance of the AgNW TCEs improved considerably after welding. The figure-of-merit (FOM) value increased from 32 Ω −1 to 381 Ω −1 . The best AgNW TCE had a sheet resistance of 12.1 Ω/ µ , transmittance of 92.3%, and FOM value of 381 Ω −1 .
