Effect of Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus and Lactiplantibacillus plantarum isolated from food and human origin on reduction of IgE-dependent hypersensitivity in Balb/c mice

•Balb/c mice were sensitized by OVA and strains were administered orally to mice.•IgE, IL-4, INF-ɤ and TGF-β were analyzed using ELISA technique after treatment.•Nasal lavage fluid was performed and Total cell and eosinophil cells were counted.•Microbial count of mice feces was performed after oral administration of strains during 7 days.•Lactiplantibacillus plantarum and Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus isolated from human and food sources, showed significant effects on reducing hypersensitivity type 1 in mice Balb/c.•Isolated strains increased count of LAB and diminished non-specific bacteria in mice feces.•NALF analysis of total cells count showed a significant decrease in all the treatment groups.
