美国环保署于2022年6月2日在其官网上公布了2022年绿色化学挑战奖五个奖项的获奖名单,分别为:学术奖、更绿色反应条件奖、更绿色合成路径奖、小企业奖以及特定环境效益-气候变化奖.这些获奖的新技术运用于工业中,仅2021年就降低近10亿磅有毒化学品的使用量,节约近200亿加仑用水量以及减少80亿磅CO2气体的排放量(1磅=0.454kg,1加仑=3.785L).
