Abstract
•Pure CuS,ZnCdS and ZnCdS@CuS catalysts at various concentration were synthesised via a sol-gel method.•The ZnCdS@CuS (6 wt%) nanocatalyst exhibited superior catalytic efficincy than CuS and ZnCdS.•The highest dye degradation efficiency (99%) was recorded for MB and RhB after 120 and 150 min under visible light.
