Abstract
Electrochemical sensors are a class of devices in which the transducer component is the electrode. These devices are often seen as an effective tool for studying chemical and biological systems. This work offers an overview of electrochemical sensors and biosensors, as well as their basic working principles and some applications. It is expected to motivate young researchers to develop new methodologies and materials for the electrochemical sensors area, allowing the expansion of possibilities and the realization of applied and innovative research.
