Abstract
In this study it is aimed that the mathematical analysis of the weak geomagnetic storm on February 01, 2017 (DsT-45nT), which happened in the 24th solar cycle. It focuses on solar wind parameters (Bz, E, P, N, v, T), zonal geomagnetic indices (Dst, ap, AE) from NASA, and examines the February storm by strictly obeying the cause-effect relationship. In the article, the storm is analyzed meticulously and its features are tried to be revealed with the models managed by the principle of causality. In this study, the value range and standard deviations of the variables are defined by descriptive analysis, the binary relationships of the data are represented by the covariance matrix, and the hierarchical clusters of the data are introduced by the dendrogram. Factor analysis is carried out with the help of normal distributions of data and the mystery of the phenomenon is tried to be discussed with linear-nonlinear models. The binary views of the variables are presented to the reader with graphics, and the storm is visualized. This study contributes to the modeling of magnetic storm at weak level, of which there is a limited number of studies in the literature.
