摘要
A new free-living marine nematode Perspiria longicaudatus sp. nov. is described from the intertidal sediments of Jinhaiwan mangrove in the South China Sea. The new species is characterized by amphideal fovea surrounded partly by body annulations; four stout cephalic setae; conical buccal cavity minute without tooth; pharynx with a peach-shaped terminal bulb; tail very long, filiform with distinct annulations; spicules strongly curved with ventral velum, cephalated proximally and tapered distally; gubernaculum with hooked caudal apophysis. The new species differs from the most similar species Perspiria striaticaudata (Timm, 1962) by unispiral amphid with thick edge, transversely loop shaped in outline; slender and strongly curved spicules with ventral velum; gubernaculum with hooked caudal apophysis and relatively longer tail. An updated key to all extant species of Perspiria is provided.
